[REVIEW] WSL - Sollys / Osasco wins tough match against Banana Boat / Praia Clube

In the postponed match from the sixth round of the return, the Sollys / Osasco (SP) sweat the shirt to defeat the Banana Boat / Praia Clube Uberlândia (MG) this MONDAY (28/02). Defending champions of the Superleague, the team led by Luizomar Moura won by 3 sets to 2, partial 25/22, 22/25, 25/20, 15/25 and 15/10, in the gym Jose Liberatti, in Osasco (SP).

The Sollys / Osasco returned to the second place of the competition. The team sum 33 points in 18 games - 15 wins and three defeats. Unilever (RJ), with only one defeat, leads the overall standings. Already the Banana Boat / Praia Clube Uberlândia continues in the fight to be among the eight best teams that will move into the quarter-finals. The Minas Gerais team is in seventh place with 24 points in 18 games, six wins and 12 negative results.
  
The central Thaísa of Sollys / Osasco, was voted best player of the match and won the Trophy VivaVôlei. The Olympic champion, with 17 hits, was who most points scored by the team from São Paulo in the match.

Even with defeat, the Banana Boat / Praia Clube had the highest scorer of match: the Cuban Daymi Ramirez with 26 points - all in spike.


The WSL will stop during carnival, but will return to full production on March 10th (Thursday). The Sollys / Osasco will go to Belo Horizonte, where duel with BMG / Mackenzie (MG), starting at 19h30 at the Arena BMG. On the same day, the Banana Boat / Praia Clube will measure forces with the Macaé Sports (RJ), 19h, at the gym Municipal, in Macaé.

[REVIEW] MSL - Sesi-SP defeat Medley / Campinas at home

Sesi-SP maintained its lead in the Superleague Men's Volleyball 10/11. On Monday (28/02), the Sampa City team received the Medley / Campinas (SP), in the gym Sesi Vila Leopoldina, São Paulo, and won by 3 sets to 0 (25/23, 25/22 and 25/20), valid for the 11th round of the re-turn.

With the victory, SESI-SP ensured at least second place of the qualifying stage. Even if loses the three remaining commitments, the Paulista team can not be surpassed by Sada Cruzeiro (MG), the third place. The victory over the Medley / Campinas was the last challenge at home in the qualifying stage of Superliga. Over the next three challenges, the team of the São Paulo capital, will face BMG / Montes Claros (MG), Londrina / Sercomtel (PR) and Santo André / Spread (SP), always in the away match.


For the fifth consecutive time, the opposite Wallace Jansen, of SESI-SP, was named man of the match and won the Trophy VivaVôlei. After the match, the attacker has highlighted the good relationship with the setter Sandro.

Despite the defeat, Medley / Campinas continues to fight for a place among the top eight who will move into the quarter-finals. The team from Campinas occupies the eighth place and still have four duels until the end of the qualifying round, all direct opponents in the fight for a place in next stage: Santo André / Spread (SP), Londrina / Sercomtel (PR), São Caetano / Tamoyo (SP) and BMG / Sao Bernardo (SP).

Sesi-SP will only return to court after the Carnival. The next opponent will be the BMG / Montes Claros (MG). The Sao Paulo team will travel to Montes Claros, where duel against the hosts on  March 10, starting from 19h30, with live broadcast by channel Sportv.

Medley / Campinas play on the same day and time. The opponent will be Santo André / Spread (SP), in the gym Taquaral in Campinas (SP).

[REVIEW] MSL - In the night of Camejo, Vôlei Futuro overcomes the Pinheiros / Sky in the tie-break

The Vôlei Futuro Araçatuba (SP) achieved a major victory this SATURDAY (26/02) when beating the Pinheiros / SKY (SP) for 3 sets to 2 (20/25, 23/25, 25/21, 28/26 and 15 / 13)  in the gymnasium Henrique Villaboin, São Paulo (SP). The match was valid for the 11th round return of Men's Superliga 10/11.

The result kept the Vôlei Futuro in seventh place with 36 points. Already the Pinheiros / SKY is in sixth position with 39 points. A major contributor to the victory of the  Araçatuba team was the Cuban outside hitter Camejo.


The player scored 27 points and was the leading scorer of the match. Camejo also took home the trophy VivaVôlei as the best in court. The opposite Leandrão also had an inspired night and scored 26 times for the Vôlei Futuro. On the side of the Pinheiros / Sky, notably the outside hitter Maurício, with 23 hits.

The two teams are set to play games again only after the Carnival. The Vôlei Futuro will face the Londrina / Sercomtel on Thursday (10/03), at 20h, in the gym Plácido Rocha in Araçatuba (SP). [REVIEW] WSL - At home, Sao Caetano surprises Usiminas / Minas

The Sao Caetano came to enjoy the victories. In this SATURDAY (26/02), the ABC team surprised Usiminas / Minas (MG), by comeback, for 3 sets to 2 (13/25, 25/15, 23/25, 25/22 and 15/12), in the gym Lauro Gomes, Sao Caetano do Sul (SP). The match was valid for the seventh round of the Superleague Ladies re-turn 10/11.

The Sao Caetano went 16 rounds without celebrating a positive result, but the team from the ABC Paulista, already sums up two consecutive victories in the return. And with the outcome of Saturday, the team left the last place of the competition and jumped to 11th place with 21 points. Usiminas / Minas remained in fifth position with 30 points.

The libero Veridiana, of Sao Caetano, shone in the clash against the Belo Horizonte team and received the trophy VivaVôlei as the best athlete on the court. The outside hitter Danielle, from the ABC Paulista team, was the highest scorer of the match with 22 points.

[REVIEW] MSL - BMG / Montes Claros wins classic against Sada Cruzeiro

In this SATURDAY (26/02), BMG / Montes Claros (MG) made peace with the victory and passed through Sada Cruzeiro (MG) by 3 sets to 0 (25/23, 25/22 and 25/23) in the gymnasium Poliesportivo at Itabira (MG). The current vice-champions of Mens Super League came from two consecutive defeats in the competition for Medley / Campinas (SP) and Vivo / Minas (MG). The Minas duel was valid for the 11th round of return.

The highlight of Saturday's game was the opposite Leandrão. The player ended the match as the highest scorer with 23 points. The opposite was also voted best player on the court and took home the trophy VivaVôlei.

The result of the clash closed the gap between the two teams in the standings. The Sada / Cruzeiro follows in third with 42 points. Already the BMG / Montes Claros is in fourth with 41 points.


The two teams will have their next few games after the Carnaval. The BMG / Montes Claros receive championship leaders Sesi-SP, on Thursday (10/03) at 19h30, at the gym Tancredo Neves, in Montes Claros (MG).
