[REVIEW] WSL - In the Cuban duel, Herrera and Usiminas win

The clash that ended the third round of the return of Ladies Superleague 10/11 had Caribbean accent, since were face to face the two Cubans who play in the competition. Herrera, outside hitter of Usiminas / Minas (MG), won the challenge against compatriot Daymi Ramirez, from Banana Boat / Praia Clube (MG). On Monday (14.02), the home-team won by 3 sets to 0 (25/17, 25/23 and 25/16), at Arena VIVO in Belo Horizonte.

The Cubans were the highlights of the match. Herrera noted 19 points, the same number of hits of the American Nicole Fawcett. Daymi, with 12 points, was the highlight from Banana Boat / Praia Clube. Herrera scored all 19 points in the attack and Daymi scored 12 hits in the attack and one in block.

With the victory, Usiminas / Minas took fifth place in the standings of the Superleague with 24 points in 14 games - 10 wins and four defeats. Already the Banana Boat / Praia Clube campaign is inverse, with four wins and 10 negative results. The team of Uberlândia occupies ninth place with 18 points, and follows in the fight to stay in the top eight who will move into the quarter-finals.
