[REVIEW] WSL - With Mari on the bench, Unilever defeat Usiminas / Minas

On a night brightened by the return of Olympic champion Mari on the court, Unilever won their 14th victory in the Ladies Superleague 10/11. The team coached by Bernardinho defeated Usiminas / Minas by 3 sets to 0 (25/14, 25/18 and 25/21), in a match valid for the fourth round of return of the competition. The match was held in the Maracanãzinho Gym in Rio de Janeiro.

Away from the court since the day of 26 August 2010, when she injured her right knee defending the national team against Poland in the final stage of Grand Prix, Mari was on the bench, but was not used in the clash with the Minas Gerais team.  


The highest scorer of the game was the opposite Sheilla, of Unilever, with 17 points. The outside hitter Regis, also from Rio team, was awarded the Trophy VivaVôlei.

With the 14th victory in 15 games played, Unilever continues to lead the Super League 10/11, now with 29 points. The Usiminas / Minas sum 25 points with 10 wins and five losses.

Unilever will return to court on Saturday (19/02), at 18h, when will receive BMG / Mackenzie, in the Maracanãzinho Gymnasium. Also on Saturday, at 19h, the Usiminas / Minas will play against the Macaé Sports, at the gym Municipal, Macaé (RJ).
