[REVIEW] MSL - Sesi-SP ensures the first place

With just one round to end the qualifying round of the Men's Superleague 10/11, SESI-SP can not lose more the first place. On Tuesday (15/03), the team headed by Giovane Gavio won  Londrina / Sercomtel (PR), by 3 sets to 0 (25/20, 26/24 and 25/17) at the gym Moringão, in Londrina (PR). The match was valid for the 14th and penultimate round of the return.

The results of the round sealed the last three spots for the playoffs. With victories by 3 sets to 0, Pinheiros / Sky (SP), Vôlei Futuro Araçatuba (SP) and Medley / Campinas (SP) ensured qualification for the play-offs. The others classified are: SESI-SP, Cimed (SC), Sada Cruzeiro (MG), BMG / Montes Claros (MG) and Vivo / Minas (MG). The 15th and final round of the return will be played on Thursday (17.03).


The highlight of the victory of the Sesi-SP was the opposite Wallace. The forward was voted best player of the match and received the trophy VivaVôlei. Additionally, Wallace was the leading scorer of the confrontation, with 14 hits.

Within the group of teams considered favorites to win the 2010/2011 Superliga, Pinheiros / Sky and Vôlei Futuro Araçatuba (SP) only managed to qualify for the quarter-final two rounds to the end of the qualifying stage. The Sao Paulo teams won their challenges on Tuesday, but only sealed the spots after the victory of Sesi-SP over the Londrina / Sercomtel. The loss of the Paraná's team, for 3 sets to 0, also secured the classification of Medley / Campinas, playing for the first time the competition.
