NEW SEASON, NEW SIGNINGS
Some new signings of the teams called the attention in this offseason. The US-international Destinee Hooker signed with Sollys Osasco and will join Stacy Sykora as US-International players in this season. Hooker will play with high-caliber teammates like Thaísa Meneses, Fabíola, Tandara and Camila Brait. Stacy returned to play in the São Paulo State Championship Finals, after the bus accident that took her out of the courts for a while (When the bus with the team of Vôlei Futuro was heading to Osasco to play the semifinals of last season's Superliga edition). Watch her emotional return in the video below:
Vôlei Futuro signed players like Walewska, Fernanda Garay and Ana Tiemi to join Paula Pequeno, Ana Cristina, Stacy Sykora, placing them as a contender for the title. The actual title-holders Unilever signed the former Brazilian International, setter Fernanda Venturini. She will join players like Mari Steinbrecher, Sheilla Castro and Fabi, to achieve their 7th title. SESI São Paulo placed an WSL team with some Brazilian Internationals as Dani Lins and Sassá.
In the MSL, the new Superteams in Rio de Janeiro and Florianópolis promises to rival SESI São Paulo for the title. SESI, with Murilo Endres, Serginho, Rodrigão, Sidão and Wallace Jansen will face the threat from RJX of Marlon, Théo, Lucão and Dante, and Cimed/Sky Florianópolis of Giba, Éder, Gustavo Endres, Bruno and João Paulo Tavares. Giba and Gustavo signed with the team after playing last season in Pinheiros.
Vôlei Futuro Araçatuba, of Ricardinho, Vini, Mário Jr., Camejo and Lorena, and Sada Cruzeiro will put more wood into the fire.

[THE SERVE NEWS] SPECIAL OFFSEASON 04
Vôlei Futuro Araçatuba wins the São Paulo State Championship for the first time
Vôlei Futuro Araçatuba defeated Sollys Osasco by 3 sets to 1 on Thursday and won the Paulista Volleyball Championship title. With good performance of the outside hitter Fernanda Garay, responsible for 21 points, the team from Araçatuba had the support of the fans in the gym Placido Rocha to close the best of three series by 2-1.
Coincidentally, every set had the same score, ending in 25-20, 20-25, 25-20 and 25-20.
Despite starting the game struggling to turn the ball on the court, Garay found herself in the second half of the final, and along with Paula Pequeno and Ana Tiemi, led the team into the unprecedented title of São Paulo State. The champions also counted with excessive errors of the opposing team, who surrendered 31 points. The conquest had a special meaning for coach Paulo Coco, who won the last two editions of the championship, in charge of Pinheiros São Paulo.
